NEW EPISODE: Scratchy McSoreThroat

Here's the latest show for all of you Convo-holics out there!

Episode: 67 "Scratchy McSoreThroat"

In which our heroes register a chloraseptic complaint, whine about a sore throat, discuss miniature versions of the show, celebrate Earth Day irregularly, talk a little political wrestling, break another chair, give Uwe Boll more of their time, create alternate identities to sign a petition, feel the Earth move under their feet, and learn not to shake a Polaroid picture.

Download that shit right here: 042208.mp3

The Ballad of Uwe Boll

On our last show ("Uwe Balls", 4/10/08) we talked about German filmmaker Uwe Boll's promise to give up his career if 1 million people signed the Stop Dr. Uwe Boll petition.

Obviously underestimating the power of the internet, Boll responded with this video clip on the website for his latest videogame-to-film adaptation, Postal:

The "Pro-Boll Petition" he asked for has now been set up and can be found HERE.

Two days later, the self-proclaimed "only genius in the whole fucking business" posted this follow up clip on the same website:

Clearly, this man is the pinnacle of professionalism. Personal hatred for the man's body of work aside, here is the petition scoreboard as of this posting:

STOP DR. UWE BOLL: 196,500 signatures
PRO-BOLL: 1,695 signatures

Our Very Own Toolbar!

Tonight on The Convo, we announced a brand new way for all of you fine listeners to listen to us: via our very own toolbar!

That's right. If you're on a PC (sorry, it's not Mac-compatible yet) and use either Firefox or Internet Explorer, then you are one of the lucky millions who have access to this great new tool in the fight against internet boredom.

Just head on over to theconvo.myradiotoolbar.com and install it...it's as easy as that! What do you get? Well...

- Links to every part of our website, straight from the toolbar button
- Links to our BlogTalkRadio, MySpace and Wikipedia pages (yes, we now have a wikipedia page)
- A built in feed aggregator of not only our Official Blog, but also our podcast, as well as other podcasts and blogs.
- A built in radio, which has built in links to our podcasts AND our live stream feed! Listen to us live w/o being at the BTR page!
- You can add your favorite streaming radio and podcasts to the player as well!
- A button that will open up our PodPlayer, the official podcast widget of The Convo
- Finally, a live news ticker that is Convo-centric...we update it, you read it!

So there you have it. Download it, use it and have fun! If, for whatever reason, you want to uninstall it, that is as simple as a couple mouse clicks!

No spam, spyware or anything like that. Just good 'ole times!

Thanks and don't forget to pass it along to all of your friends!

Keep the conversation going!

Our 50th was GRAND (and Live Help from a penis?)

First of all, I want to thank everyone who came out and endured our two hour discussion last night. I know there was some issues with the live feed (BTR bugs seem to happen at the worst of times), but even then we TRIPLED our LIVE listeners record!

I'd also like to thank Kendra and Louie, our good friends who jumped in and went with the flow, even when the sea became a little treacherous. <-- bad Pirate joke INTENDED Also, as I referred to during the show, here is the phallic LIVE HELP icon that BlogTalkRadio has up on their host switchboards: Our new mascot?

That little guy might just become the show's official mascot. We'll dwell on it and get back to you.

Again, a big thanks to everyone (including Dr. Blogstein, who left us an awesome endorsement on our BTR page) who showed up, tuned in and supported us. And for those of you who couldn't be there, check out the podcast here.

Keep the conversation going!

50th Episode Extravaganza!

BREAKING NEWS
January 29, 2008

ST LOUIS - Sources are reporting that a very special episode of the hit internet radio show, The Convo, is being planned for the 50th episode, which will air on the 12th of February.

The show will likely feature appearances by those who are wealthy and possibly even famous. Sources are reporting that actor Jason Isaacs and reality TV star Christa DeAngelo are being talked to about appearing, among others.

Isaacs is best known for his roles as Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter films and as Colonel William Tavington in The Patriot.

DeAngelo is best known as the beautiful and cunning runner-up on CBS' 2007 reality show, Pirate Master.

"This show is going to be fun." said Convo co-host Travis Hill. "It would definitely be a shame if someone missed it."

Hill declined to divulge any details other than the date of the episode, which is set for February 12, 2008, and that it will air live on BlogTalkradio.

95% Operational

Hey all you loyal fans and fansettes!

Travis here, just wanting to let everyone know that everything on the website it fully operational...well, except the online store that is. But still, 95% is still a good average, right?

Each episode will now have it's own page, complete with the title, description, who was on the show, and even a link where you can directly download the podcast.

Also, you can now click on the picture of the music player at the top right of the page, which will open up a new window with a fantastic new feature: The Official Convo PodPlayer! It streams every episode directly from our servers, so you don't have to go through all that nasty business of downloading each episode to your computer if you don't want to! I've even put a bit of code there underneath it, just in case you want to put OUR player on YOUR website, profile, or blog. Neat, huh?

That will about do it. I'm going to try and find a $5 hooker, although it's Sunday and they might be in church.
